Bellevue Lookout – Washoe Lake Scenic Spot

At the parking area
Step out of your car and immediately take in the views of Washoe Lake on one side and the Eastern Sierra Nevada on the opposite side. Explore more and walk into the meadow or to the water’s edge, keeping an eye open for seagulls, pelicans, and other birds and possibly some of Nevada’s feral horses.



Quick Tips
- Best in the morning for a chance to see horses with less wind
- Known for strong winds – Dress accordingly
- Have your camera ready
- Open all year
- Hold on to your hat, it can be windy
Getting There
Take the Bellevue Rd exit in Washoe Valley between Carson City and Reno. Head east towards the lake until it dead ends in a roundabout parking area
